GVI Divemaster Interns Graduate

Kayla, Gary, Adrian, Ross and Annika celebrate passing their PADI Instructor Development Course.

This week witnessed the completion of the GVI Divemaster Internship Programme. Six former volunteers have spent the last ten weeks training to be divemasters and working at the Underwater Centre in Beau Vallon bay. Five of the six then went on to undertake their PADI Instructor Development course, successfully graduating on Sunday February 28th. Our congratulations go out to them and we wish them all the best in their future roles as dive instructors.

The sixth member of the group Sally Conyers, having completed her divemaster internship decided against doing the instructor course in favour of pursuing a path into marine conservation. She has been rewarded for her hard work with a staff position on the GVI Seychelles Expedition and we look forward to welcoming her to the team next phase.

“The divemaster internship programme was a fantastic experience, it improved my diving expertise and helped me gain employment with GVI Seychelles” – Sally Conyers
