03/07/2011 Curieuse, Ready, Steady, Go!

After some long journeys, a few PADI Open Water courses and a packed ferry ride to Praslin, 12 brand spanking new volunteers arrived safe and sound at Curieuse Camp today. Our diverse group (a few Brits, Americans and Germans, a Swede, Norwegian, half-Thai and even half-Seychellois! Wowzers!) got stuck in straight away; they had a tour of base, set up the all-important mosquito nets and embarked on the first (of many) snorkels from Curieuse base. Everyone’s keen to get through the Advanced Open Water course so we can start looking at those pretty little fishies!

Today was also the first time that the new staff team have all been together – a warm Curieuse welcome to scholars Charlie & Willem, we’re as excited to have you on the team as you are to be here, and thank you so much for the hard work you’ve already put in J

Time to dash off for the famous first night introductions and a bit of ‘getting-to-know-you’ time, speak soon!
